If yes, our MiA courses are perfect for you!
What is a MiA course and how does it work?
These courses are designed by women, specifically for women. You’ll be in small groups discussing topics relevant to your daily life and improving your German. Besides classes, we also explore the city and its culture together. MiA courses are all about supporting each other. Here, you’ll find motivation, gain new knowledge and explore new perspectives with other women.
Course Details
- Courses are only for women and are led by a female instructor.
- Participants come from different countries.
- Each course lasts 34 hours, spread over a few weeks or months.
- You can join up to three courses.
- The content is tailored to what you need to know.
- It’s all free of charge.
Who can join?
To join a MiA course, you should:
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Not have completed school or vocational training in Germany.
- Belong to one of these groups:
- Living permanently in Germany as a foreigner.
- Seeking asylum from Afghanistan, Eritrea, Somalia, or Syria.
- Applied for asylum in Germany before August 1, 2019, and have had a residence permit for at least three months. You should be from a country that’s not considered safe. Also, you could be working, looking for a job, or have a child not in mandatory school.
- Displaced from Ukraine after February 24, 2022.
